This is good news for people who are using iPhone for podcasting purpose because now, they can use automatic voice-to-text transcription which will make their publishing and audio blogging a lot easier.

The automatic voice-to-text transcription in iPhone podcasting service is made possible by Audioboo,  a mobilecasting startup Audioboo which currently attracting more than 100,000 unique users, RSS and iTunes links every week; and SpinVox, a leader in voice to content messaging.

They introduced an Application Programming Interface called SpinVox API that automatically convert speech to text across Audioboo’s applications such as iPhone podcasting and Twitter posting.

According to Christina Domecq, SpinVox co-founder and CEO, Audioboo’s decision to use SpinVox API to turn their audio input to text will take Audioboo to the next stage as this is something fresh and new with it and growing fast as a consequence. With this new service that can be used both by podcasters and bloggers, Audioboo may establish itself as a major platform for audioblogging.
