Wizzard Media just announced the release of the updated advertising-insert application called the Alchemy 2.1. This newly updated advertising-insert application can now perfectly integrate advertisements into podcasts that are playing through the Wizzard Media Flash player without disturbing the show’s interactive capabilities.
The Alchemy 2.1 supports traditional pre, post and mid-roll, in-stream ad units as well as the overlay static and animated banners. And with this updated version, the need for separate systems to run and track advertisements in downloaded podcasts has been eliminated. Likewise, the same ads can be played whether the podcast is downloaded in iTunes, played through mobile iTunes on the iPhone, or played online through the Flash-based media player.
The Wizzard CEO, Chris Spencer said that Alchemy 2.1 is the technical foundation of their advertising monetization plan for content producers that will likewise benefit the advertisers since the audience/ consumer will be automatically transported to the advertiser’s website. After the release of Alchemy 2.1, Wizzard also plans to expand their capabilities to include DoubleClick and Atlas soon.
