Dixie Consumer Products continued its sponsorship to MommyCast podcast for 3 consecutive years. This is good news not only for the producers, hosts and audiences of MommyCast but also for the podcasting industry as well. MommyCast, a podcast about motherhood and parenting is said to be one of the first independent podcasts that were able to maintain a major corporate sponsorship.
This showed that when the advertisers and/or sponsors associated themselves to the appropriate podcast shows, the value of advertisement that they can get from the show are of significant value. Podcasting is a powerful but relatively inexpensive form of new media that can provide a good source of service/product exposure if used strategically.
Dixie Consumer Products on the other hand is surely happy on how their sponsored podcast support their products and MommyCast are indeed very happy on how Dixie uphold its sponsorship to the podcast. Of course, the audiences are happy as well because Dixie’s sponsorship help the podcast grows without sacrificing the quality of its shows.
