Starting today, September 11 up to September 21, there will be a celebration of International Day of Peace through the so called blog carnival. It is a synchronized blogging marathon that was initiated by MyPacis.
Under this blog carnival, bloggers, podcasters and other social networks are invited to talk about peace and current world of affair . Review and linking to each other is encouraged to create a fluid hyperlinked discussion about peace. Others may also join the World Peace celebration by simply displaying the peace dove in their profiles.
Well, this is a good initiative of spreading peace because as we all know, the World Wide Web is a good place to promote peace all over the world. Podcasters and bloggers may have some arguments and debates every now and then but I still believe that people in social media networking are peace lover. In fact, many people find working in the World Wide Web much peaceful and stress-free compared to the fast moving lifestyle in the corporate world.
So, once in a while, even after the 10 Days of Blogging, Podcasting and Web 2.0 Activism For International Peace Day, let us talk about peace and give our world a favor.
