Broome Community College who recently hooked up into podcasting held a workshop for their professors to help them became acquainted with podcasting. This is actually good to hear because the college is exerting real effort to promote the use of podcasting as another way to encourage their students to study.

This also showed that Broome Community College believed in the power of social media networking as an effective and practical tool in learning. Podcasting is not expensive and being in the iTunes listing seems to have some positive impact in the education industry because nobody nowadays have not heard of the term iTunes.

The said workshop was held today at the college and a representative from Apple Computers likewise conducted a workshop on creating podcasts. The workshop is attended by its high school and college administrators, faculty and academic department heads as well as institution communications professionals.
