James Kim, a senior editor of CNET Networks and a podcaster of weekly video podcast for the Crave Gadgets blog was found dead in the wilderness of Oregon.
James Kim and his family was trapped in the snow last November 25 as they are traveling back home to San Francisco after their Thanksgiving trip from Portland. They got lost and stuck when they tried to take a shortcut to the Oregon roads that can be treacherous during winter.
James decided to leave his family from the stuck car after 9 days to seek for help for his stranded and starving family. Despite the rugged and snowy terrain, James still managed to walk around 8 miles from the car before rescuers found his body in a narrow snowy valley.
CNET CEO Neil Ashe stated their condolences and appreciation to James Kim and said that CNET will honour James’ memory and will do all it could to assist Kim’s family.
